Dr Susanna Rota

Clinical Psychologist

I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in the public and private sectors of mental health. I have worked in the UK and Italy across a variety of settings with people presenting with a wide range of mental health difficulties including anxiety disorders (social anxiety, worry and generalised anxiety disorder, phobias, panic), depression, low self-esteem, stress, bereavement, trauma, and burnout.

My specialist interests include attachments, relationships, adolescence, culture, bereavement and significant life transitions.  Overall, my intention is to identify patterns which have been hindering your personal and professional relationships with a view to understanding and moving towards change.

I trained in several forms of therapy and enjoy working creatively with clients to tailor individualised evidence-based interventions that meet their needs.

I try to place a strong emphasis on providing a warm, respectful and non- judgemental therapeutic environment for clients to safely and collaboratively explore the underlying reasons for their difficulties, develop effective coping skills and achieve personal well-being.

I offer therapy in both English and Italian

Testimonial’s about therapy with Susanna.

'My sessions with Susanna have truly changed my life. From the very first session she made me feel comfortable, fully supported and safe, which is not something I have experienced in therapy before and is difficult to truly achieve. The genuine care and consistent effort that she puts into her patients is second to none and I would not be where I am today if I had not had the chance to be her patient.  Shannon

This has been an amazing, life-changing experience, which I am sure to make good use of’. Larissa

‘I can only say good things about my journey with Dr Rota, from the first day she allowed me to feel that I was in a safe and trustworthy environment, where I was comfortable enough to open up and speak to her about absolutely anything. At a very low point in my life, Dr Rota gave me hope that I could cope and one day overcome all the negative thoughts and emotions I faced. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her, I can honestly say she changed my life around for the better. ‘ Sophie

She helped my daughter articulate what she wanted and needed to communicate to me, and helped me express myself to my daughter. The sessions were a real breakthrough for both of us, we are better bonded now, and our relationship has matured and further improved’. Simone
