HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist
Pronouns - She/her
I am HCPC registered counselling psychologist, BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) therapist, qualified and experienced clinical supervisor. I have over 17years of experience of working with children, young people, families and adults with broad range of complex mental health difficulties from wide social and cultural backgrounds. I worked in NHS setting for over 9 years. I have experience and enjoy working with adults and young people with neurodiversity. I provide clinical supervision to my colleagues.
My main therapy model is CBT but as psychologist I work in an integrative and systemic way. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and mindfulness approaches in my work. I am especially passionate about using CFT approaches as I think without easing into more compassionate and kind self-acceptance it can be challenging sometimes to open up and process trauma or engage in making behaviour changes.
I specialise in working with trauma and anxiety disorders. I have special interest and experience of working with families, parents, children and adolescents.
I use remote platforms for majority of my work. I am confident and skilled to work creatively and collaboratively by using visual aids when working remotely (including using virtual sand tray, whiteboard, music, etc). I also offer few face to face slots.
I offer non judgemental, safe and confidential space to enable you to build on your strengths and values and to find your potential. I might challenge you to encourage progress but I would never ask you to do anything that you would not feel comfortable with.
I would always start from assessment which is listening and understanding what is difficult, what are your goals and what would you like to work on.
I am strongly committed to the duty of care to my clients, professional ethic, meaningful supervision, professional and personal development.
I enjoy my work and I feel privileged to be a small part of my clients’ recovery journey.

What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidenced based & well researched talking therapy. It is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for many mental health problems.
It is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for many other mental and physical health problems.
CBT focuses upon how your thoughts and behaviours impact upon your emotions and physical symptoms.
CBT is collaborative treatment and typically involves doing homework tasks between appointments.
It aims to teach you to become your own therapist, teaching you tools so you can keep using the strategies and techniques you have learned after you have finished therapy.
