Hi, I’m Nicky! I’m a highly skilled, compassionate person focused psychotherapist who can support you to overcome your personal difficulties.
My hope is that our relationship will develop into a comfortable yet professional place where you can be yourself and feel that I am genuine in wanting to help you to make your own choices about your life and concerns. I will not judge you and will give you the respect you deserve.
Due to my friendly, empathic personality, it will provide you with the opportunity to feel relaxed and be open with me about your issues; this can feel less of a burden on yourself. We will work together to focus on your internal confusion/struggles helping you to learn to tolerate distress and regulate emotions. My practice promotes well-being, recovery, personal growth and self-discovery.

What is EMDR?
EMDR Stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing.
When a person experiences psychological trauma or highly stressful events, they are not always able to process the relevant information (i.e. thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations). As a result, they can end up getting “stuck” inside of them and can resurface later on, as if the person was still reliving the traumatic or stressful event.
EMDR aims to ‘process’ negative experiences or events which can subsequently improve emotional well-being and help to significantly reduce, but more often eliminate distressing symptoms and bodily sensations associated with the trauma.
In 2013, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has also acknowledged EMDR as being an effective treatment approach to psychological trauma and trauma-related disorders.
