Sarah Battye
Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT)
My name is Sarah and I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist working with My Therapist Online from my consulting rooms in Cheshire.
I have been working in child and adult mental health for over 10 years. Alongside My Therapist Online I work in an IAPT Service as a CBT Therapist and have previous experience working with children under CAMHS, adults, and their families as a Multi Systemic Therapist.
I graduated from Keele University in 2009 in Criminology and Psychology. In 2018, I completed my Postgraduate Diploma at the University of Manchester. Both of these courses are accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapist (BABCP).
I am straightforward, open, honest and approachable.
I have extensive experience of working with a variety of Depression and Anxiety difficulties and have special interest and knowledge with Low Mood, OCD, Generalised Anxiety, Social Anxiety, and Specific Phobias. I am happy to discuss your difficulties and work out together if I can be of any help to you.
I am accredited with the BABCP and use evidence-based interventions to maximise recovery and relapse and do so by personalising CBT to the needs of the individual.
My aim is to help people recover and lead a fulfilling life. Enabling you to gain - not only an understanding of your difficulties - but to develop a range of skills to help you overcome these and feel equipped, looking to the future, to overcome any barriers that may come your way – ultimately giving you the tools to become your own therapist.
I am happy to discuss your difficulties and work out together if I can be of any help to you.

Feedback about online therapy with Sarah
“Sarah was absolutely brilliant. Very supportive, and clearly experienced in this specialist area. She has completely transformed my life, and given me my life back. I could not be happier with the outcome of my therapy.“ Anonymous
“I just wanted to say thank you for everything you've done for me and helped me get through over the past few months. I appreciate it more than I can explain! You've helped me get through each day when it's been the last thing I want to do and I can't be more thankful for that.” F, 22
”I enjoyed the sessions as though they were often about serious topics, I felt like I could enjoy myself and not feel suffocated.” F, 14
”Sarah has shown me where my anxiety was coming from and what was keeping it going, giving me the tools to face into it rather that be afraid of it. I now know when my body is reacting physically to worry why this is and why it is not a danger to me. I even went on my first plane journey in 10 years!” M, 48
”Thank you, I felt like you understood and knew me straight away. The things you’ve showed me are helping me everyday in many situations and with managing many feelings.
Being honest I wasn’t sure if therapy could help me or not and thought I may always have to live this way but the things I have learnt about how my mind works has shown me how CBT can make things easier.” M, 33
”Thank you for helping us to remember the rainbow (and daleks).” M, 10
